摘要
本研究以某科技大學資訊管理系畢業生為研究對象,探討資管系畢業生在學習成效與就業狀況之性別差異。結果發現,女性的在校成績顯著高於男性,但男性從事較高社會地位之職業類別的比例顯著高於女性,且薪資也顯著高於女性。目前從事資訊專業相關工作之男性高達84.9%,顯著高於從事資訊專業工作的女性(61.6%),而因為「對資訊相關工作沒有興趣」而離開資訊相關領域的女性則顯著多於男性。研究也發現,女性取得國內證照的比例高於男性,但在國際證照的取得比例卻遠低於男性。而曾經取得國際證照的資管畢業生,在職場的薪資則顯著高於未曾取得國際證照者。

This study was designed to
probe the gender differences among academic performance and current employment
status for MIS graduates of a National University of Science and
Technology. The results show that,
first of all, 84.9% of male MIS graduates currently own a job relate to their
college major, significantly higher than females’ 61.6%. In addition, male MIS graduates have
higher salary and higher job positions than females. However, female MIS graduates earned
better grade in college level than their male counterparts. Much over, more female than male were
found to quit their jobs because they no more interested in working at the MIS
field. Female MIS graduates held
more local professional certificates but had significant less global recognized
certificates than males, while MIS graduates with more global recognized
certificates in hands tend to have higher salary.
